01 | Pregnancy Viability
A viable pregnancy means that the pregnancy is inside the uterus and has a heartbeat. In a non-viable pregnancy, such as a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy, different treatments are needed.
02 | Gestational Age
An ultrasound can tell you how far along you are in your pregnancy. Knowing how far along you are is important, as Virginia law has certain laws about when abortion is permitted. The abortion pill has been approved by the FDA to be taken up to 10 weeks of pregnancy. Knowing your gestational age will help you determine what options are available for you.

Having an abortion with an undetected and untreated STI can lead to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), which can affect future fertility [1].
